Went to Vegas on Monday and got back on Thursday. Basically, stayed at South Point hotel, played at South Point, Venetian, MGM, NYNY, Wynn (?), and Excalibur and ended up losing overall. Rode the NYNY coaster for the first time. I’d give it a 4/10 because it felt very run down, jerky, and costs $12 for a short ride. Bowled at South Point, played XBOX 360 whenever we were in our room, watched tv a lot, drank some interesting sugar free energy drinks, went to Frys a few times, oh ya, and batting cages ($2 for 14 balls; f that, and half of the pitches were balls, as stated on the display, but still crap).
Food wise, ate at South Point buffet for $4 with coupon; mediocre food but good selection. Ate at the Wynn buffet for like $35; excellent food but small selection; had mostly crab, shrimp, and can’t remember anything else significant except the rock hard candy apples they had for dessert that were almost impossible to bite into. Oh ya, went to Costco in Summerlin or something like that; nicer area, same Costco pizza and hotdog. Still yum though.
Las Vegas still is an interesting experience for me as long as I am going to gamble. I think if I were to just visit to hang out in Vegas I probably would pass as most of Vegas looks to be a bit on the shady side with who knows who walking the streets and various panhandlers handing out adult advertisements. The hotels are excellent, as they are built on people like us, but going out and driving the strip is no walk in the park.
With that, my quick write up is complete. Mostly.
